My name is Christine Barratt-Atkin and my journey into Reiki, Reflexology & Crystal Healing started in 2011. I have always had an interest in holistic therapies but never had the opportunity to pursue my passions due to other work commitments as we – my husband Richard and I – ran a day tour coach company for 14 years!
Angelic Healing Centre is a haven of tranquillity and the moment you enter you will feel the benefit of the spiritual healing space that I have created.
I treat the whole person and not just the symptoms; they are often just the outward signs of a deeper problem which someone has held onto – sometimes for years. I use crystals during a Reiki session as they can enhance the experience as they emit positive energy and can work on your chakras – which can be blocked.
*Reiki is a form of therapy that uses simple hands-on, or no-touch, and visualization techniques, with the aim of improving the flow of life energy in a person. Reiki (pronounced ray-key) means ‘universal life energy’ in Japanese, Reiki helps to alleviate problems of energy flow on the physical, emotional, and spiritual level. Reiki therapy is used in much the same way to achieve similar effects that traditional massage therapy is used—to relieve stress and pain, and to improve the symptoms of various health conditions. The effects can be very subtle – sometimes you may think that nothing happened OR Very powerful and you feel it as you are lying on the bed, It can vary from each person.
*Reflexology. Your feet map the whole of your body & organs. By manipulation of points on your feet it helps to bring your body back into balance. Reflexology can be used in various treatments such as digestive problems, infertility, stress – as you can hold onto it in your stomach area plus other conditions.
*Indian Head Massage is an effective therapy that has evolved from traditional techniques practised in India over a thousand years. The treatment involves massage to the upper back, shoulders, upper arms, neck, face and scalp. This massage works on significant areas of the body, especially the neck and shoulder areas where stress affects major muscle groups such as the trapezius muscles. Tensions are eased and fibrous knots and nodules melt away. The efficiency of the circulatory and lymphatic systems improves, toxins disperse from tense muscles, flexibility and fluidity of movement is restored
