Living With Back Pain: What You Can Do To Help

Muscle injury is the root cause of most back pain. Damaged ligaments and strained muscles can lead to a great deal of pain and discomfort. Although your back pain can be a source of much of your frustration, it is a treatable condition that does not need to take over your life.

If back pain is prevalent in your life, be certain you are getting enough vitamin D. Bone growth is partially promoted by vitamin D, so having enough of it in your diet can make a difference in your back pain. Many foods contain Vitamin D, including milk, cheese, certain cereals and fish.

Treatment may involve over-the-counter pain relievers, antidepressants, physical therapy, self-care, and medications specifically approved to treat fibromyalgia, such as Lyrica (pregabalin)                                                             Symptoms What does fibromyalgia feel like? It's about more than just muscle aches and joint pain.
